My dear friend said she had shipped something my way.
I almost cried when I opened the box. You know when you’re in a season of chaos that is filled with choices and confusion, and then you are hit out of no where with a single moment of clarity. I was reminded about everything I’ve ever known to be true about myself and my purpose in one moment. Life is filled with so many diversions to get distracted with. I love jumping from project to project and become distracted so easily. Which is why I have such a deep appreciation of the small things that refocus our perspective.
John 3:16, James 1:27, Micah 6:8, Matthew 28:19-20, and Psalm 67:4 are scrolled across the continents.
Matthew 28:19-20 are two of my favorite verses.
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
I have always had a heart for international missions, I love the command for discipleship, and the end also gives me so much peace. “Surely I am with you always.”
I want to encourage you to take a moment today and refocus. Allow yourself to breathe deeply. Clear your mind and embrace the silence. Remember what is at the center of your heart. And know that He is always with you.
This sweet gift is what introduced me to Life Lived Beautifully. They say their company’s aim “is to worship the Lord through creating and to be a reminder to daily take up our cross and follow Christ.” I love this company, who they are and what they do. They also donate a portion of their profit to the Kupendwa Ministries. If you never have enough coffee mugs and want to add this one to your set, you can find the mug here.
